We currently offer a variety of walks on Wednesday and Saturdays on a weekly basis.
Walkers meet between 9.30 and 10.00am at an appropriate meeting place which is stated in our programme, usually close to the centre of Sheffield. Public transport is then used to get to the starting point of the walk. These walks are usually between 5 and 6 miles in length and can be either linear or circular.
These circular walks are held on a weekly basis using members’ own vehicles for transport on a car sharing basis from the meeting place (usually roadside parking on Dore Road near to the junction with Abbeydale Road South) to the walk’s start point. Passengers make a contribution to the driver’s motoring costs of between £2 and £3 depending on the distance travelled. These walks are usually around 8 miles in length.
Other General Information
Our walking programmes cover 4 monthly periods from January to April, May to August and September to December. For details of all forthcoming walks within the current walk period please feel free to contact us via either of the methods shown on our "Contact Us" page.
